Heavy 11 gauge (2.9mm) steel uprights for maximum rigidityMultiple J-cup and safety pin height positionsCompatible with all Sheer Force rack accessoriesPowder-coated finish for corrosion resistanceIdeal for squats, bench press, and overhead press
The Sheer Force Squat Rack is a four-upright rack built for serious home training. It is the mid-point of the Sheer Force system — a complete training station on its own, and the structural foundation for the Functional Trainer Rack when you are ready to add cables.
The four uprights are 72mm × 72mm, 11-gauge (2.9mm) steel — the same wall thickness used in commercial gym equipment. They sit on two feet running front to back, with the uprights positioned toward the front and rear ends of each foot. This spread gives the rack its stability under load. Hole spacing is 50mm throughout, giving you fine adjustment on J-cup and safety height across the full range of the uprights.
Pull-Up Bar
The front top connector of the Squat Rack is the pull-up bar. It is structural — it keeps the rack stable — and it is a full pull-up bar at the same time. It is available in three configurations:
- Straight bar — standard pull-up grip, full width
- Curved bar — ends curve toward you, which shifts the grip angle and reduces shoulder strain for many users
- Multi-grip bar — multiple grip positions and widths in a single bar
All three fit the Squat Rack and the Squat Stand. The pull-up bar configuration is chosen at the time of order.
What You Can Train

The Upgrade Path
The Squat Rack sits between the Squat Stand and the Functional Trainer Rack in the Sheer Force system. If you own a Squat Stand, you add two uprights and reposition the existing ones toward the ends of the feet. If you want to move to the Functional Trainer Rack, you add the cable kit, weight stack, and cable brackets. The feet, the uprights, the top connector — all of it carries forward.
