Where Every Lift Starts

J-cups are the most-used component on any rack. Every squat, every bench press, every overhead press begins and ends with the bar resting in them. That makes them a detail worth getting right — because cheap J-cups with no lining will slowly destroy the knurling on a good barbell, and that knurling is what keeps the bar in your hands under heavy load.

8 mm Steel. UHMW-Lined.

The cup body is formed from 8 mm steel plate — thick enough to handle serious loading without flex or deformation. A secondary 5 mm plate forms the bracket that locks onto the rack upright, keeping the cup stable and square under load.

The front face and base — the two surfaces the barbell actually contacts — are lined with UHMW plastic. UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) is the same material used in competition lifting platforms: extremely hard-wearing, low-friction, and completely non-abrasive. Your barbell knurling makes contact only with UHMW, not with steel.

Fits the Grip Section, Not the Sleeve

J-cups hold the knurled grip section of your barbell — not the sleeve end. This means barbell sleeve diameter is irrelevant here; the cups are designed around the grip shaft, and work with any standard barbell.

J-Cup Range

Standard J-Cups are the entry point in the Sheer Force J-cup range. If you want more barbell protection and a smoother bar path, the Sandwich J-Cups encase the barbell entirely in UHMW. The Roller J-Cups go further still, allowing the bar to roll and adjust slightly in the cup.
